Izaskun Chinchilla, Sunbrella space at Casa Decor Madrid
The Madrid architect Izaskun Chinchilla has designed an installation for the firm Sunbrella to display at the 54th Casa Decor exhibition, on view in the Spanish capital through 10 March. Based in Glen Raven, Florida, Sunbrella manufactures textiles for exteriors and interiors. The location of the installation is a hidden courtyard of the building that stands at Calle Núñez de Balboa 86, and inspiration for it came from the flowery patterns of the artist Georgia O'Keefe. Reinterpretations of O'Keefe paintings on Sunbrella fabrics decorate the space, designed as a covered garden with large-scale flowers.
