Near Seoul’s airport at Incheon, the Dutch firm MVRDV has completed two buildings: a nightclub and an indoor theme park. As these programs do not need natural light, the facades are windowless, with white and gold finishes and an imprint-based design using features of the other constructions within the Paradise City entertainment and hotel complex. The reliefs on the 3,869 panels of fiberglass-reinforced concrete are 3D-modeled. The facades form entrances like theater curtains opening up from the bottom. One leads into a corridor with a glass floor and multimedia screens reflected in the curving mirror-clad ceilings.
