The Málaga firm Taller de Arquitectura el Muelle, headed by Francisco Fernández Ballesteros and Arturo López Payer, has enlarged Villa Magnolia, located in the Guadallmina Baja development of Marbella (Málaga). There was a need to extend the existing home, built in the 1970s, so a small construction on its east end, used as a garage, was transformed to provide rooms for guests, beside a new steel pergola in the garden. The pavilion is organized in two independent levels laid out around a central core containing various services. The new annex presents a metal tube structure and a roof that reflects more than 70% of the solar radiation is receives.
