‘En el Tiempo. Carlos Cánovas’ at the Museo ICO

The Museo ICO in Madrid presents this exhibition included in the official selection of PhotoEspaña 2018. Curated by Juana Arlegui, and on view until 9 September, the show offers a tour through the urban landscapes of Carlos Cánovas (Hellín, 1951) from the 1980s until today, through 128 photographs grouped in six series: Tapias (1980), Extramuros (1983-1990), Vallès Oriental (1990), Paisaje sin retorno (1993-1994), Paisaje anónimo (1992-2005), and Séptimo Cielo (2007-2017). These images, where nature and the intervention of man converge, are located on the boundaries of the city, suggesting different readings around the concepts of space, distance, and time.
